Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla Closeup lodge shares the boundary with the Gorilla park and it is very close to the starting point of Nkuringo Gorilla group which is only 4 km only 10 minutes drive. In fact some times Nkuringo gorilla group is tracked within our lodge compound. From the lodge you can drive to Nkuringo UWA registration office and start of tracking or even you can decide to use a motocycle or even walk.

From our lodge, you can also track easily all the 6 gorilla groups including Mishaya,Nshongi,Bikingi,Kahungye,Busingye & Bweza.

It is also a base for gorilla habituation Experience where you can be able to be with mountain Gorillas for up to 4 hours enjoying and being part of the team habituation mountain gorillas in trying to make them accept human presence comfortably.

From the lodge you can also track Nyakagezi Gorilla Group which is located in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Its only 45 km

Gorilla permit fees with effect from January 2014 is $ 600 per person for foreign none residents, $500 for foreign residents holding work permits in East Africa while East African citizens is 250,000/=(Ugandan shillings). We organize and reserve gorilla permits for our clients who want to stay with us. Gorilla permits are normally on high Demand and so booked and paid for in advance. You can pay by card(Visa,Master card,American express,Union pay etc at no extra costs. You request for the card payment link. You can as well pay by bank transfer
